in SafePro resque room at Agnico Eagle’s Kittilä mine S900 level. We trust, you had a great visit.
The idea of the Safetyroom is from the mines Safety Manger Jani Jauhojärvi. Mr Jauhojärvi challenged our team to design a build in Safety Room, while we were in the operation of the annual services for the removable safety chambres. Our team was eager to plan and build the large scale resque room, according to the mines requirements.

SafePro is Rovaniemi based company with teams of safety and IT specialists. Our aim is to make mines safer.
Safe environment
The safety room is build to resque 100 persons for 48 h, with normal breathing air. The build in safety room locates at the S900 level, due to the level’s multifunctionalities.
The saferoom has multifunctional use; offices, training center and cafeteria. The technical room is separate, where the oxygen bottles, CO2 filters and batteries have been installed. The 48h Survival Kit for 100 persons are stored there as well.
